Cinnaminson, New Jersey, June 9, 2025
In late April, the American Lung Association released its “State of the Air” report. In it, the organization claims 156 million people in this country are living in places that received an F grade for ozone or particle pollution. The 2025 report includes 25 million more people than last year’s report.
The city ranked number one as the most polluted by short-term particle pollution was Bakersfield-Delano, California. Number two was Fairbanks-College, Alaska. For year-round particle pollution, Bakersfield-Delano was still number one, followed by Visalia, California. Los Angeles-Long Beach was ranked the top city for ozone pollution, followed by Visalia, California.
“The air quality outdoors is dependent upon where we live, work, or go to school,” said Joe Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “Air pollutants can have a direct impact on our well-being, not to mention influence our comfort, productivity, and other aspects of daily life. What we breathe indoors is also crucial, as most people spend around 90% of their time indoors.”
To help address these concerns, the environmental testing experts at EMSL Analytical offer quick and affordable laboratory services to assess air quality conditions by analyzing indoor and outdoor air samples. They also provide sampling supplies, easy-to-use test kits, air monitoring instruments, building inspection tools, and respirators and other personal protective equipment.
